Sustainability Commitment: Our Boxes
Part of our mission as a company is to better the community that we are a part of. We are proud to be located in the great state of Colorado, in the vibrant city of Denver and we understand that our actions as a company not only impact our immediate community, but also have an effect on the world we live in.
Our journey to be a more sustainable company is ongoing. It is something we can always work on, striving to be more efficient and lessen our impact on the environment.
We partner with fellow Denver company DeLine Box to craft and print each case we pack our food in. We are proud to use Forest Guard® boxes for all of the cases of food that we make. What is Forest Guard®?
Each box is certified as Forest Guard®, meaning they are made from 100% recycled packaging. No trees were felled in the making of the case of food you chose to bring into your kitchen. Besides reducing waste, this process:
Uses 45% less energy
38% less greenhouse gasses produced
45% less wastewater generated
50% less solid waste created
100% less wood used
But what about the ink?
All of our boxes arrive to you with the blue Ready Foods logo that we’re all familiar with. Thanks to DeLine, our cases are printed with inks that are water-based and colored with only natural pigments. Any leftover inks are recycled at the DeLine Ink Kitchen and remixed, then reused on other jobs. We love this low-waste process.
We strive to think about every ingredient that goes into making a case of our food, even the box, thanks to our friends at DeLine. Have ideas on how we can be more thoughtful with our cases of food?
You can find cases of our products through broadline distributors in states like Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Nebraska, Texas and more.
